Our gorgeously soft alpaca socks are simply the best and you can keep them in top condition by following the wash and care instructions below.
Not only are they stronger than wool socks and less likely to wear, they also need washing less. This is due to the fact that they have a hollow core and hold no moisture so feet stay dry . Without any moisture there is also no bacteria to cause a smell.
Alpaca wool socks are loved by campers, walkers and outdoor enthusiasts for the fact that they can be worn for days on end without washing and still stay fresh!
When your alpaca socks need to be washed, simply follow our wash and care tips below:
- Gently hand wash your socks in non-biological washing powder. Keep the water cool. Do not rub or wring them vigorously. Squeeze dry in a towel. Alpaca socks will last longer if hand washed.
- Alternatively, wash your alpaca socks in a washing machine with non-biological detergent on either a wool or silk programme in cold water or at 30 degrees. Make sure the programme has a very low spin. Do not use any programme which has a lot of agitation.
- Gently reshape your alpaca socks and hang dry or lie flat, but away from direct heat.
- Do not use bleach.
- Do not tumble dry.
