SUSTAINABLE & ETHICAL
Alpaca herds roam freely in harmony with their natural ecosystems. They are shorn once a year and the fleece is skillfully sorted by hand into 52 shades of natural colors. Fibre production is the main economic activity in the Andean highlands.
Andina Outdoors® are a knitting and manufacturing company from Arequipa, in the central Andes of Peru. Our offering is the most direct route to premium alpaca products. Equipped with the latest European and Asian technology, we ensure reliable quality with modern design.
SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION
The transformation of fibre into garments is made very close to the source diminishing the environmental impact of transportation and use of fossil fuels.
Our products are mainly made with locally sourced Alpaca fibre. We use blends with other natural fibres to improve their performance. Merino Wool, Bamboo and Silk are blended with Alpaca to obtain durable and functional garments meant to be worn in all conditions. Synthetics are used to enhance the properties of natural fibres, not to replace them. Nylon for stretch and durability, Lycra increases elasticity to obtain the best adaptable products with resources from nature and state-of-the-art technology.
